Lexi White, 8, was diagnosed with bone cancer early April of this year. August 7th in Newbern, TN, we are putting together a "super" wrestling show at the FTW arena, 1020 W.Main St. Bell time is at 4pm and admission is $5. All proceeds and donations are going to Lexi. Seasons in the Sun

It is almost August and there is no sign that the Dogs will field a softball team this year.  This could be the first time since 1990 that I don't play at least one game.  It was a good run if that is so.
Back in the mid-90's, I was the captain of our team at Lerner Newspapers.  In other words, I spent way too much time chasing down people to field a team every week.  During the eight year run, I played every position except 1st base, before finally settling in as the team's main pitcher.
When taking the mound, I decided to try to unsettle the opposing batters by donning face paint.  I know, it was not too original (basically, I copied the Road Warriors and Sting of wrestling fame), but it did startle a few batters (and umpires).
As the season wore on and it got hotter, the face paint seemed much less fun, but I made the commitment to wear it until we made the playoffs.  Fortunately, that promise had an expiration date of that year, since we never made the playoffs and I would still be wearing facepaint.
By the way, that lump on my left cheek is actually a softball earring (worn just in case the facepaint wasn't enough).  Hmmm maybe I am seeing why we never really won much!

BB over Chasity Hord w/Motely & Chris Styles by DQ. BB was left laying in the ring after a post-match beating from Motely/Chasity/Chris.

Vin Vader w/Raven demolished/destroyed/devoured Scruffy McNasty.

Johnny Morton vs. Knock Out Kid went to a time limit draw.

DC/Brett Michaels/LSD defeated Cruz'n 4 Pain (Motely Cruz/Chris Styles/Josh Matthews w/Chasity Hord) when Bad Boy Burns ran in and pinned Motely. After the match C4P handcuffed Bad Boy to the ring and beat him down, along with DC, Brett, & LSD. The beating lasted just over 20 minutes before order was finally restored.

WWE referee gets married

WWE referee Charles Robinson is getting married to his girlfriend Amy Charles this
weekend. The ceremony takes place on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Robinson, 47, a referee with WCW and WWE for over 15 years, will wed for the
second time. His first wife, also named Amy, passed away in 2002 following a short
battle with lung cancer.

Chicken Hat. Bill DeShields tried to restrain Chicken Hat and got bit on the arm in the process, drawing blood. I took a picture of it during intermission. On the Chicken Hat meltdown scale I'd give it about an 8.5.

Gargano is in no-man’s land, but we also understand that Aaron Draven & Justin LaBar are rumored to be in attendance as well! ANYTHING can happen as the road to PWO Wrestlelution 4 begins to wind down.

Shiima Xion & Michael Façade vs. PWO TV Champ Bobby Beverly & Jason Gory
These four men have been at war with one another for months, so to stir things up before their four-way one-fall match for the PWO TV Title at Wrestlelution 4, PWO management has placed them all in one dysfunctional tag match. Shiima & Façade have had wars in PWO in the past, and Beverly & Gory are about as polar opposite as you can get! Only one team (maybe even one man) can wind up with momentum heading into Wrestlelution. The only thing more unpredictable than this tag match will be the 4-way itself!

Johnny Gargano Goes Full Circle
At Wrestlelution 3 last year, Gargano silenced many doubters and critics with his emotional PWO Title match win over Matt Cross. Now, Gargano reflects back on his entire history with not just Matt, but Josh Prohibition as well, as he prepares to go “Full Circle” at Wrestlelution 4. Gargano has faced perhaps no tougher tests in his career than Matt and Josh, but now to face both at once?? Gargano’s frame of mind this week will be very telling!

Final Words - Jason Bane & Krimson
Last week, Krimson assaulted PWO Champion Jason Bane in a way Bane had never been assaulted before, as Gory and the returning Kirst joined “The Embodiment of Evil” in a three-on-one attack, ending with Krimson holding the PWO Title in a possible sign of things to come. How confident is Krimson now with his “Dead Wrestlers Society” en masse? How will Bane respond to being laid out a week ago? On August 7 at Wrestlelution 4, there will be NO disqualification, and these men are ready for war!

Final Words - Marion Fontaine & Justin LaBar
On August 7 at Wrestlelution 4, Kevin Nash & Aaron Draven are led by Justin LaBar to battle Brodie Lee & Marion Fontaine. What started as a simple clash of personalities between Fontaine & LaBar has turned into the biggest tag match in PWO history! Fontaine has always been outspoken to a fault, while LaBar has been very direct and candid himself. Two weeks before the huge battle, what final words will these men have in preparation for a career altering encounter?

Nicki Valentino Goes Old School
WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana is coming to show “Late Nite” Nicki Valentino that the 1980s was about much more than fanny packs and zubaz. Valentino meets Santana in an “Old School Challenge” at Wrestlelution 4, and he will get one last time to show the world how old school he truly is.

1st match - Ruff Shot Lamonte Potts(1/2 of the tag team champions) with Sexy Sam Dollar defeated Dynamite Kid in a hard fought battle !!

2nd match - A triple threat match MCW Heavyweight Champion Frankie Tucker vs Tommy Drama vs Mr. Pimptacular !! It turns into a double teaming against Frankie Tucker with Tommy Drama getting the pin !!!

3rd match - The Hambone Express with SSD defeated Loose Cannon & Dynamite Kid !!

4th match - Big Daddy Lafonce vs Notorious Bradley Diggs with SSD !! Big Daddy has the victory until Ruff Shot hits along with Tommy Drama & Mr Pimptacular !! Out comes Frankie T and low & behold turns on SSD's stable !! The crowd goes crazy with go Frankie go chants !! Pop of the night !!!

5th match - Battle Royal with 500 dollars to the winner !! Loose Cannon, Dynamite Kid, Big Daddy Lafonce, Frankie Tucker, LA Hustlers, Mr. Pimptacular, Tommy Drama, & the Hambones !!! Celeb Jersey Cards #63 Mark Wahlberg & Kevin Bacon

This is a regular series which combines my passion for trading cards with my interest in celebs.  The season is about 2/3 over and the two teams leading their leagues are the Philadelphia Phillies and the Boston Red Sox.

When we last saw Boston area native Mark Wahlberg, he was sporting a Philadelphia Eagles jersey for his role as Vince Papale in Invincible.  Today, Wahlberg is showing his true colors while tossing out the first pitch at Fenway.  While I was a big fan of Papale, this is a much more fitting Celebrity Jersey Card for Wahlberg.

One degree of separation away from Mark Wahlberg is Kevin Bacon.  They are connected by Jennifer Aniston, who starred with Wahlberg in Rock Star and with Bacon in Picture Perfect.   Bacon is a native Philadelphian and he donned the Phillies jersey when he performed the National Anthem with his brothers.
