TNA "Victory Road" PPV Knockouts Results

Angelina Love TNA wrestling

Last night at TNA's Victory Road, they had two female wrestling matches.

First up was a return match between Knockout Champion Tara and challenger and former Knockout Champion Angelina Love.
Of course Angelina came out with The Beautiful People and Tara came out with a spider in a jar.
BTW, Tara is short for Tarantula if you didn't know.
The crowd seemed to really get behind the match and of course Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne pulled ot their bag of usual tricks, one of which resulted in Madison accidentally spraying Velvet in the eyes instead of Tara.
The match ended in an WCW Old School kinda way when Angelina made a pin attempt, Tara got her foot on the rope out at two but "impartial" ref Slick Johnson counted three anyway.
So Angelina Love has regained the TNA Knockouts Championship.

After the match Tara got in the ref's face, clobbered Johnson and hit the Widow's Peak on Angelina.
She was about to put the spider on Angelina (Shades of Jake the Snake!) but Velvet and Madison pulled Angelina out and Tara put the snake..errr..spider on Slick.

BTW, later in an interview backstage with Lauren, Slick admitted he screwed up and said he would get Tara a rematch.

The next match was Sharmell versus Jenna Morasca.
Jenna of course came out with Awesome Kong and Sharmell came out with Sojourner Bolt.
The match was basically a catfight with hair pulling etc.
Even though the match was between Sharmell and Jenna, Sojo and Kong were heavily involved.
Jenna got the victory after Kong nailed Sharmell and Jenna covered her with an unladylike pin.

But that's not all.
After the match, Jenna was trying to boss Kong around until finally Kong got fed up and took out her frustrations on Jenna.

TNA - Awesome Kong versus Sojo Bolt

TNA has posted their latest female wrestling match (gotta love them!) between TNA Knockouts Awesome Kong and Sojo Bolt.
You can see it here.

Of course Kong and Sojo can both really wrestle.

Awesome Kong (Kia Stevens) was trained by Jesse Hernandez and the All Japan Women's Inoki L.S. Dojo and she made her pro wrestling debut on October 22nd, 2002.
Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked her number one in their best 50 female singles wrestlers in the PWI Female 50 in 2008.

Sojournor Bolt, Sojo Bolt (Josette Bynum) was trained by Eddie Sharkey, Eric Priest and Rip Rogers, and made her pro wrestling debut on April 3rd, 2003.

If we are lucky, Sojo and Kong might both wind up in the ring at the Victory Road PPV, since Kong is training Jenna Morasca and Sojo is helping Sharmell.

And you can keep up with Kong at her MySpace page here:

TNA Knockout News

At the TNA Victory Road PPV, Sharmell will be facing Jenna Morasca.
?
I figured that the Knockouts main event would be a Womens Title Match.
No Angelina Love?
No Tara?
No Velvet Sky?
Not even Awesome Kong?

And last night on TNA Impact, Sarah Stock finally made her first TV wrestling appearance as Sarita going up against Alissa Flash (who we know better as Cheerleader Melissa).
Sarita got the win, but Alissa got her revenge after the bell as you can see here:

Thanks to TNA for not only posting the match, but allowing people to embed the video so others can see it.

And on Hermie's Hotseat, race car driver, announcer and professional wrestling promoter Hermie Sadler interviews one of my favorite all time female wrestlers, Daffney.
You can watch it here.

I just love Daffney.
I still want her and Tara as a psycho tag team.

Juliet The Huntress - wrestling
And I would like to thank this talented young lady for taking the time to do this.
Like I have said before, the Indy wrestlers take their careers to heart and harken back to the days of Ann Casey, some working full time jobs, getting off work, grabbing their gear and jumping in a car to drive to that nights match.
We're not talking primadonnas here, we are talking women that literally put their blood, sweat and tears into their work.

No More WWE?

christy hemme, wrestling, TNA
Are you ready for a steady diet of TNA?

Wow...I leave for a month and everything goes weird.

I got an e-mail this morning from Hub Pages, (I have several wrestling Hubs there) saying they had to un-publish all their Hubs with "WWE" in the title.
Well this was bad for me because almost all of my wrestling Hubs are about WWE Divas.
I don't blame Hub Pages at all.
It seems that World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (“WWE”) is claiming exclusive ownership of the trademark "WWE", so they had to unpublish all hubs with WWE in their title.
Does the WWE know how much free advertising they get from blogs, websites and hubs?
So whats next?
Are they gonna want all info on WWE superstars taken down?
Does this mean the internet will have to shift it's focus to TNA?
TNA seems to have no problem with free publicity.
In fact, they seem to encourage it.

So are we looking at a future with promotions like TNA, Shimmer and other Indys getting the free internet pushes?
I'm just a little fish in a big pond, but what about the big wrestling websites?
What if their focus turns totally from the WWE to TNA and the Indy promotions?
No more Mickie James and Beth Phoenix, they get replaced by Velvet Sky and ODB?
The famous "Diva of the Day" gets replaced by the "Knockout of the Day"?
The TNA PPVs and events start getting the major heat?

And in a related "karmatic" development, Wrestling Inc is reporting that Muscle Flex is ready to file a lawsuit against the WWE seeking damages over the use of the "Raw" brand name in Canada.

WWE Divas: Mickie James, Candice Michelle and Trish Stratus

trish stratus

Former WWE Diva Trish Stratus, along with current WWE Divas Mickie James and Tiffany took part in this years's 300 event that takes special needs children from Canada to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

mickie james

And speaking of Mickie, on JR's blog he said that Mickie is contemplating a country music career. She's evidently getting ready to do a demo.
Does that mean she'll start carrying a guitar to the ring like Jeff Jarrett?
Or that she'll start a feud with Jillian Hall?
Or maybe a duet with Lilian Garcia?

candice michelle

And Candice Michelle is starting to get the heat.
It seems the WWE is a little upset that while she's on rehab for her ankle, she's hanging out at bars in LA and going to Dodger games.
Of course her injury history doesn't help much either.
Look at Mr. Kennedy.
BUT, Candice has a major supporter in the WWE by the name of Stephanie McMahon, so she'll probably be okay for now.

WWE Diva News and Updates

trish stratus photos

"The Wai-In" has a two part interview posted on YouTube with former WWE Diva Trish Stratus.
Trish talks about her yoga studio, pro wrestling and more.
You can see part one here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heDM7gAnyKo

Trib.com has an article up about Torrie Wilson and her being on "I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!" on NBC.
I hope she does better than Ashley Massaro did on "Survivor: China".
You can read the full article here

Speaking of Ashley, I missed her birthday on May 26th.
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLEY!

Indy wrestler Serena Deeb is still a maybe with the WWE.
She appeared on an episode of ECW on Sci Fi, but has yet to sign a developmental contract.
Serena has worked for Shimmer and Ohio Valley Wrestling and in OVW she has held the Women's Championship six times.

And while they are trying to get one diva into the WWE another has been sidelined for nine months.
Jenny Quinn, a WWE developmental women's wrestler in Florida Championship Wrestling tore her anterior cruciate ligament and will be out rehabing it.
Jenny is known as "Fifi" and Jenny Cash in FCW.
You can keep up with Jenny at her MySpace page here.

WWE SmackDown! Diva Eve Torres is taking classes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the Gracie Academy in Los Angeles, California, as are several of her fellow Divas.
You don't think the WWE read what I posted on my other blog about turning the Divas division into submission style wrestling seriously do you?
If so...where is my writers fee?
LOL

In it's "WWE Outside The Ring And More...." section, there is an article about Mickie James touring the garden of 9-year-old Sarah Lindauer.
Sarah is the latest "WWE Community Champion."
